    • Benajah Binford (1790-1858) was born in 1790 in North Carolina. He was a son of James and Hannah (Crew) Binford. He married Judith Binford, his first cousin and a daughter of John and Martha Binford, in 1811. For marrying his first cousin, he was disowned by Jack Swamp Monthly Meeting, but he was readmitted to membership the same year. In 1826 they removed from Rich Square Monthly Meeting to Duck Creek Monthly Meeting in Henry County, Indiana, though they actually settled in what is now Ripley Township, Rush County. They were early members of Walnut Ridge Friends Meeting. Benajah died in 1858, and Judith died in 1871. Both are buried in the Walnut Ridge Burying Ground.
